Ondansetron
It is in a class of medications called serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonists.
It works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural substance that may cause nausea and vomiting.
It is used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused by surgery, cancer chemotherapy, or radiation treatment.

Side effects:

• Headache.

• Constipation.

• Weakness.

• Tiredness.

• Chills.

• Drowsiness.



Warnings and precautions:

• Low amount of magnesium and potassium in the blood.

• Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any other drug components.

• Serotonin syndrome, a type of disorder with high serotonin levels

• A low supply of oxygen rich blood to the heart

• Slow heartbeat

• Chronic heart failure

• Severe liver disease



Interactions:

• Apomorphine, tramadol.

• Erythromycin

• Fluoxetine/paroxetine

• Duloxetine/venlafaxine
