Chlorine from the pool in PE, air conditioning in every classroom and the sun on the walk home dry normal to dry hair out through the term. After a few weeks the lengths feel rough and the ends begin to split. This set answers it in two bottles and two steps, and it is deliberately short: one wash that does two jobs, and a few drops on the ends afterwards.

What is in the box

• Vitalcare Professional Ultra Hydration 2in1 Hydrating Shampoo + Conditioner with Linseed and Avocado, Normal to Dry Hair, 500 ml — a single bottle that cleanses and conditions in one step with linseed (flax seed) oil and avocado oil, so normal to dry hair is not left stripped.
• Vitalcare Professional Ultra Hydration Hydrating Liquid Crystals (Cristalli Liquidi) with Linseed and Avocado, Normal to Dry Hair, 50 ml — a leave-in serum on a dimethicone base carrying the same linseed and avocado oils, worked through damp ends to seal split ends and leave the hair smooth and shiny.

How to use it

• Step one, the wash — the 2in1 at every wash. It is one bottle doing both jobs, so there is no separate conditioner to work in and rinse out, and it is gentle enough for daily use.
• Step two, the ends — a few drops of the Liquid Crystals worked through damp ends after every wash, left in and not rinsed out.

Good to know

Nothing here competes for the same slot and there is no third step to remember: the 2in1 covers both the shampoo and the conditioner, and the serum goes on afterwards, on damp hair, outside the shower. Start with less serum than seems necessary, since too much weighs fine hair down. Expect softer hair and easier combing from the first wash. Both bottles carry linseed and avocado oil; the brand does not publish the amounts.

Please note

The 2in1 is one 500 ml bottle doing both jobs. It is not two bottles, and it is not a shampoo that needs a separate conditioner after it. The Liquid Crystals serum is a leave-in and is not rinsed out.
