Self-Care Essentials Set

Long school days, closed shoes and sanitiser between classes dry out hands and feet, and skin only gets attention at the weekend. This set is built around that weekend: three single-use Dermokil treatments, and one cream that carries the result on.

What is in the box

• Dermokil Collagen Serum Sheet Mask - Anti Aging, 23 g — a single-use serum-soaked paper face mask that leaves the skin hydrated and looking temporarily firmer. It holds palmitoyl tripeptide-5, a collagen-signalling peptide rather than collagen itself, with pomegranate fruit extract and hyaluronic acid.
• Dermokil Exfoliating Foot Mask 30 ml, one pair of single-use sock masks — plastic socks holding lactic and glycolic acid, fruit acids that loosen the hardened dead surface layer so it peels away by itself.
• Dermokil Repairing Hand Mask 30 ml, one pair of single-use glove masks — gloves pre-soaked in a rich occlusive cream of paraffin, beeswax and glyceryl stearate carrying juniper fruit oil, tocopheryl acetate, sodium hyaluronate and hydrolysed wheat, soy and corn proteins, to soften dry, cracked hands in one wear.
• Mizon Multi Function Formula Hyaluronic Acid Hand and Foot Cream, 100 ml — a cream for rough dry hands and cracked heels: sodium hyaluronate with glycerin and shea butter, holding water in the skin and softening hardened areas.

How to use it

• Treat the face, sheet mask — ten minutes, taken off before the sheet dries out, then press the leftover serum in rather than rinsing. Once or twice a week, one per use, then discard.
• Treat the feet, sock masks — wear six to nine minutes, then remove them and rinse the feet with warm water. The skin sheds on its own over four to eight days. The sheet mask and the socks share the same treatment slot, so use them in one sitting or on different days.
• Moisturise the hands, glove masks — on clean dry hands, fifteen to twenty minutes, then peel them off and rub the rest in. One pair per use.
• Keep it up, Mizon cream — twice a day, or as often as needed. The gloves and the cream both sit at the moisturising step: the gloves are the one-off, the cream carries the softness on.

Good to know

Three of the four are single use and finish the moment they come off; the cream is the only part that lasts. The socks are a peel rather than an instant result, so the feet look their best at the end of the four to eight days, not the same evening.

Please note

All three masks are single use and must not be reused. For external use only. Do not apply any of them to broken, cut, irritated or sunburned skin. Avoid the eyes, and rinse with plenty of water if contact happens. The foot socks come off after six to nine minutes and the feet are then rinsed thoroughly with warm water; the actives are lactic and glycolic acid and must not be left on the skin. They are not for diabetics or anyone with poor circulation in the feet. Let the skin shed on its own over four to eight days and never pull or cut it, and the skin is sun sensitive during and after peeling. The hand gloves contain hydrolysed wheat, soy and corn protein, so avoid them if allergic to these. The Mizon cream, sheet mask and hand gloves are fragranced, the cream with citronellol and geraniol, so none suits very reactive skin.
