• Warning and precautions
Do not take Xarelto unless you tell your doctor if you suffer from:
- Severe bleeding.
- You are taking other medications that prevent blood thinning.
- You suffer from a medical condition that increases the risk of bleeding, such as a stomach ulcer.
-Suffers from kidney disease.
- Severe high blood pressure.
- You had an artificial heart valve.
• Other medication and Rivaroxaban:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any of the following medicines:
- Medicines for fungal infections (such as fluconazole, itraconazole, voriconazole)
- Some antibiotics (such as clarithromycin, erythromycin).
- Other medicines to reduce blood clotting (such as enoxaparin, clopidogrel or vitamin K).
- Anti-inflammatory medications and pain relievers (such as naproxen or acetylsalicylic acid).
- Certain medications to treat depression (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) or serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs)).
• Side effects:
- It may cause bleeding. Tell your doctor if you notice any symptoms of bleeding, such as: severe weakness, paleness, dizziness, unexplained swelling, or chest pain.
- Skin allergy: such as a rash or blisters.
