Adol 125 mg 10 Suppositories contain paracetamol.
Paracetamol is an aniline derivative that has analgesic and antipyretic properties.
Paracetamol blocks central COX-2 enzyme that is required for the prostaglandin formation in the hypothalamus.
Thus, this inhibits fever and pain formation.

Points of interest:

• Check other brands and other medications that may contain paracetamol to avoid overdosing.

• For children: talk to a doctor if pain/fever last for more than 48 hours after using Adol 125 mg Suppositories.



Side effects of Adol Suppositories For Children:

• Increase liver enzymes such as aminotransferases, hepatotoxicity.



Cautions:

• G6PD deficiency.



Interactions of Adol:

• Carbamazepine, phenobarbital and phenytoin: metabolism of paracetamol is possibly accelerated by carbamazepine, phenobarbital and phenytoin.



Indications:

• Analgesic and antipyretic for children.

• Adol 125 mg 10 Suppositories are used to relieve mild to moderate pain including teething pain, reduce fever and relieve discomfort that may occur with infections, especially in case of cold and flu.
