Ezetimibe

Ezetimibe is selective inhibitor of cholesterol absorption that has been shown to reduce the overall delivery of cholesterol to the liver, thereby promoting the synthesis of LDL receptors, with a subsequent reduction of serum LDL-C.

Indications:
• Primary hypercholesterolemia.

How to store:
Keep at room temperature.

Side effects:

• Dizziness

• Muscle aches

• Liver problems

• Allergic reactions including rash and hives: raised red rash

• Muscle pain

• Tenderness or weakness

• Gallstones or inflammation



Cautions:

• Allergic (hypersensitive) to ezetimibe or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

• Liver problems.

• Pregnant or breast-feeding.



Interactions:

• Fenofibrate.

• Fenofibrate micronized.

• Fenofibric acid.

• Gemfibrozil
