Jardiance 10 mg - 30 Tablets
Jardiance contains the active substance empagliflozin. It is a member of a group of medicines called sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors.
It works by blocking the SGLT2 protein in your kidneys. This causes blood sugar (glucose) to be removed from your urine thus lowering the amount of sugar in your blood.

Side effects:

Swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat that may lead to difficulty breathing or swallowing



Cautions:

• Hypersensitivity to empagliflozin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

• Ketoacidosis

• Type 1 diabetes

• Serious kidney or liver problems

• High risk of dehydration

• serious infection of the kidney or the urinary tract with fever

• pregnancy and breastfeeding



Interactions:

• Diuretics

• other medicines that lower the amount of sugar in your blood such as insulin or a “sulphonyl urea” medicine



Indications:

Type 2 diabetes in adult patients (aged 18 years and older), that can't be controlled by diet and exercise alone.
