Lercanidipine hydrochloride
Lercadip contains Lercanidipine hydrochloride, which is a calcium channel blocker that is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate hypertension.
Calcium channel blocker works by preventing calcium from entering the cells of the heart and arteries, which allows blood vessels to relax and open and blood pressure will decrease.

Side effects:

Lercadip may cause:

• Peripheral edema.

• Headache.

• Flushing.

• Tachycardia and palpitations.



Warnings and cautions:

• Lercadip is contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic impairment or renal impairment or left ventricular dysfunction.



Interactions:

• Lercadip should not be taken with grapefruit or grapefruit juice.

• Ciclosporin and Lercadip should not be administered together.
