Scopinal contain Hyoscine Butylbromide.
Scopinal contains hyoscine Butylbromide.
Scopinal pills are used to treat abdominal pain, abdominal discomfort associated with cramping, and to treat menstrual cramps and reduce renal colic.
It also relieves the pain of stomach cramps by helping your gut to relax.
Scopinal works very quickly, relieving painful cramps within 15 minutes.

Point of interest:

• Do not give Scopinal to children under 6 years of age.



Side effects of Scopinal:

• Dry mouth.

• Constipation.

• Blurred vision.

• Fast heart rate.



Cautions:

• If you're self-treating with Scopinal, do not take it for longer than 2 weeks without checking with a doctor.



Do not take Scopinal if you have:

• Had an allergic reaction to Hyoscine Butylbromide or any other medicines in the past.

• A rare type of glaucoma called angle-closure glaucoma (scopinal can increase the pressure in the eye and make your glaucoma worse)

• Myasthenia gravis (an illness where the muscles become weak and tire easily)



Interactions of Scopinal:

Take at least one hour before antacids or certain anti-diarrhea drugs (e.g., kaolin-pectin type).







Indications:

Scopinal tablets used for:

• Relieves painful stomach cramps, including those linked with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

• It can also help bladder cramps and period pain.

Made In:

• The usual dose of scopinal for stomach cramps (or cramping pain) in adults and children aged 12 years and over is 2 tablets taken 4 times a day.

• For children aged 6 to 11 years, the usual dose of scopinal is 1 tablet taken 3 times a day.
