Spasmomen works by spasmolytic action on the smooth muscle of the digestive tract.
It contains Otilonium bromide, an antimuscarinic that is used to relieve spasmodic pain of the gut,
especially in irritable bowel syndrome and muscle spasms of the gastrointestinal tract.
The muscle spasm of the gastrointestinal tract may be related to other conditions such as recurrent abdominal pain, diarrhea, excessive acid secretion, pain in the kidney, and involuntary leakage of urine.
