Vermox tablets contain Mebendazole.
Vermox belongs to a class of drugs called Anthelmintics.
Vermox is an anthelmintic or anti-worm medication. It prevents newly hatched insect larvae (worms) from growing or multiplying in your body.

Indications:

• Vermox treat infections caused by worms such as whipworm, pinworm, roundworm, and hookworm.

• Vermox is used to treat infections caused by more than one of these worms at the same time.

Points of interest:

• If treatment is unsuccessful, repeat the course after 3 weeks.



Side effects of vermox:

• Nausea.

• Vomiting.

• Loss Of Appetite.

• Diarrhea.

• Stomach Pain.

• Gas.

• Rash.



Cautions:

Before you use Vermox, tell your doctor if you have ever had:

• Liver disease.

• Inflammatory bowel disease (including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis).

• Kidney disease.

• Neutropenia (low white blood cells).



Interactions of vermox tablets:

• Do not take Vermox if you are taking metronidazole (Flagyl) as the combination could cause a severe skin reaction that includes fevers, blistering red or purple rash, skin peeling.

• Take one tablet of vermox twice daily (i.e. morning and evening) for three consecutive days. Your doctor will advise the appropriate dose depending on the type of worm infection.
